NORMAL time and extra time could not decide this closely contested clash, but it was Aztec who eventually claimed the under-14 Echo Premier League Cup after holding their nerve during a tense penalty shoot-out.

In the first half Jets started the brighter and Aztec found themselves pegged back on numerous occasions.

The pressure soon paid off as Jets took a 2-0 lead into the break, but the second half was a totally different affair and Aztec showed great character.

By the end of the second half they had drawn level with strikes from McQueen and Walshe.

Even the extra 20 minutes could not split the two teams, although both had chances to win the game.

In the shoot-out, Jets missed the third strike and it was Ngandu who stepped up for Aztec to net with a coolly-taken shot.

Dagenham United 2 Valence United 8

VALENCE UNITED under-12s dominated from start to finish and were rewarded with a crushing win over Dagenham United.

Albert Carney was the hero as he hit four goals, while Remi Awosanya, Timi Abiola, Joel Mensah and Daniel Shobande chipped in with goals to cap a superb display.

Bardag 3 Barn Sports 0

BARDAG under-12s dominated Barn Sports for long periods and returned with a crushing win.

The pressure was relentless at times and Bardag ensured victory with goals from Charlie Sprent, Adam Thomas and Adam Hadjkura.

Man of the match was Kalon Sargent.

SUBLIME, free-flowing Euro Dagenham under-11s pounded Xcel with a sumptuous display of attacking football.

Billy Dobson earned man of match for his crisp and accurate passing.

Goals from Conroy, J Everitt, Imbert-Thomas, Spurr, Tahiri and Wheatley saw Euro walk away with all three points.
