Striker Russell joins the club after making his mark for the Blues in pre-season with three goals already.

He has spent time at rival clubs Haringey Borough and Waltham Abbey in recent seasons and will now look to impress under new manager Justin Gardner.

On the same day the club also confirmed winger Kamara would be joining the ranks from VCD Athletic.

The Blues also got another game under their belts ahead of the season as they were beaten 1-0 by Southern Counties Division outfit Corinthian at the weekend.

Gardner tweeted after the match: “Thanks to Corinthian for the game today always love going there you no u get a good game & good work out, all the best for the season.

“My favourite pre season game. #LoveTheGameItWillLoveUBack.”

Barking was also due to face Harlow Town last night (Tuesday) in another friendly at Aveley’s home Parkside and will also host Essex Senior League outfit and ground-sharing West Essex at Mayesbrook Park tomorrow evening (Thursday, 7.45pm).

Gardner and his side will then make the trip up north for the weekend to face Newcastle Benfield on Saturday (3pm) at Walkergate.
