RONEO COLTS under-10s (pictured left) celebrated their first success of the summer on Saturday as they roared to victory at the Singh Sabha tournament.

The victors started strongly with a 4-1 win over Shield Academy thanks to a Rian Davis hat-trick and a Shawn Harvey strike, followed by a 3-1 win against GNG Gravesend, with a further brace from Davis and a goal from Michael Lowry.

Roneo's third opponents were Romford Borough, against whom Roneo only needed to record a draw to reach the finals, and the game remained goalless thanks to a magnificent save by goalkeeper Alex Stephenson with seconds to go, denying Romford Borough the win.

The final, between Singh Sabha and Roneo Colts, also remained goalless although both sides created many chances.

In extra time, however, Roneo managed to secure the elusive goal two minutes from the end after a goalmouth scramble saw the ball deflected into the Sabha net for an own goal.

Roneo Colts: Stephenson, Lowry, Davidson, Cutts, Blackman, Shepherd, Payne, Harvey, Bell, Davis.
