Dagenham & Redbridge have announced Wayne Burnett as their new permanent manager following an interim spell in charge at Victoria Road.
Dagenham & Redbridge have appointed Wayne Burnett as their permanent manager on a two-year deal.
The Daggers had to rely on other results to go in their favour as they survived in the Football League on goal difference following a 1-0 loss to York City ay Victoria Road last Saturday.
But they have wasted little time to appoint Burnett as the permanent boss, having had the job on an interim basis since late February after the departure of John Still to Luton Town.
Chairman Dave Andrews said: “I am really excited about the appointment of Wayne Burnett. The board of directors were fully committed to offering Wayne a two-year contract despite the mixed results since he took over in February.
“I feel that now Wayne can prepare for the new season and stamp his own mark fully on the team. We can now look forward to a bright start to a new season.”
