Daggers set to keep youngster for another month

Dagenham & Redbridge have extended the loan of midfielder Nicholas Hamalainen until October 10.

The QPR youngster initially joined Daggers on a one-month loan at the start of August but is now set for a longer stint at Victoria Road.

Hamalainen has yet to make his league debut for the east Londoners but did start for the club in their League Cup loss away to Charlton Athletic last month.

The 18-year-old was unavailable for selection for the trip to Northampton Town because he was on international duty with Finland under-19s but will be fully focussed on gaining a place in the Dagenham starting XI.
