Striker one of seven players to depart Victoria Road when contract expires
Striker Paul Benson heads a list of seven Dagenham & Redbridge leaving Victoria Road this summer after the Essex club announced their released list following the end of the season.
Benson, defender Curtley Williams, midfielders Frankie Raymond, Luke Guttridge and Leo Donnellan, and forwards Shomari Barnwell and Jakub Berkowicz will depart when their contracts expire in the summer.
The club did confirm that new contracts had been offered to Luke Pennell, Sam Ling, Josh Staunton and Joe Widdowson, all of whom are defenders.
In addition, academy players Jordy Mongoy and Liam Gordon have been offered their first professional contracts, while Scott Mitchell has departed after not being offered professional terms.
Benson returned to Daggers last summer on a free transfer from Luton Town, scoring six goals in 36 games in all competitions.
Williams was another arrival from Luton, also joining on a free, and went on to make 11 appearances in an injury-disrupted campaign.
Raymond initially joined Daggers in July 2014 from Eastbourne Borough, making 56 appearances and scoring three goals during his three-year stay at Victoria Road.
Guttridge arrived at Daggers from Luton in January 2016, but suffered a broken leg shortly after joining, before going on to make 34 appearances, scoring nine goals.
Both Donnellan and Barnwell made just one substitute appearance during their time with Daggers, while Berkowicz departs without ever playing for the first-team.
Elliot Justham, Scott Doe, Craig Robson, Matt Robinson, Luke Howell, Elliott Romain, Fejiri Okenabirhie, Oliver Hawkins, Andre Boucaud, Tyrique Hyde, Scott Heard, Corey Whitely, Jake Howells, Mark Cousins, Mason Bloomfield and Joe White all remain under contract.
