Terry Harris admits the new managerial duo have a lot of work ahead of them to make Dagenham & Redbridge successful once again.

The former Daggers assistant manager Harris returns to the club from Boreham Wood where he enjoyed a successful season by reaching the play-off final.

This will be Harris’ fourth spell at the club and he revealed how delighted he is to be back.

“It’s absolutely fantastic, I don’t live far away and this has always been my club anyway, so the fact that I haven’t worked here for the last 12 months or so doesn’t really matter it’s just fantastic to be back.

“I understand all that has gone on at the club, but I have no control over that, the only control Peter and myself have is on the football.

“I understand what the situation is, and know we’re going to have to go young, but through our contacts hopefully we’ll get enough good players in to make it a good season.”
