Daggers duo part of 16-man squad hoping to help non-league national team overcome Slovakia under-21s

Dagenham & Redbridge pair Morgan Ferrier and Fejiri Okenabirhie will hope to help England C to success in the final of the International Challenge Trophy on Wednesday.

The duo have travelled with the non-league national team to face hosts Slovakia under-21s in Ziar nad Hronom.

Ferrier and Okenabirhie form part of a 16-man squad that has travelled to the continent for the clash.

Injury prevented Daggers team mate Charlee Adams from playing his way into the squad.

But with time on his side, the 22-year-old hopes he can earn an England C call up in the future.

“I got injured early doors, so I would have liked to have got in the squad, but it’s one of those things,” he said.

“I just have to crack on, keep getting minutes in, keep doing well and hopefully get recognised.”

• Look out for more from Charlee Adams about his time so far with Daggers and the trip to Tranmere Rovers in the National League on Saturday later this week.
