Daggers man says all is going well so far in pre-season

New Dagenham & Redbridge man Bondz N’Gala says he is building a good partnerships with fellow centre-backs Scott Doe and Craig Robson ahead of the new National League season.

The 27-year-old arrive at Victoria Road in the summer on a free transfer from Dover Athletic, penning a two-year deal.

In Daggers’ pre-season games so far, N’Gala is the only man to have played two full matches, lasting the distance against both Bedford Town and Thurrock.

In those games, N’Gala has lined up at the heart of defence with either Doe or Robson for company.

And the new Daggers defender says it is important to build those partnerships during pre-season to ensure the defence is as solid as it can be when the campaign proper beings on August 5 at home to Barrow.

“Scott and Craig are both good players and I have enjoyed playing with the both of them,” N’Gala told the club website.

“We are still learning through these games, but we are doing well so far, the communication seems to solve all.

“Pre-season is all about foundations, fitness and organisation, it is a work in progress and the result doesn’t matter too much as it’s about coming through the games injury free.”
