When Alex Jakubiak put Wayne Burnett’s side ahead in the 67th minute at Victoria Road they looked to be on course to upset in-form Burton.

But Adam McGurk equalised at the back post after good work from former Daggers defender Damian McCrory before substitute Abdenasser El Khayati scored before helping create the third for McCrory.

There wasn’t much between the two teams, but Brewers always seemed the most likely to win and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s team deserved the three points.

Mark Cousins (8) – No chance with any of the three goals, but made an astonishing stop from Stuart Beavon at the end of the first half before another vital save from Ivan Calero after the break. Strong man of the match performance from Daggers keeper.

Abu Ogogo (6) – Skipper sold himself short in part for third goal, allowing McCrory to cut inside him way too easily, and was way out of position for second.

Scott Doe (6) – Not as assured performance from experienced defender, who has been sensational of late. A couple of mistakes crept into his game.

Ayo Obileye (6) – He left partner Doe isolated for the second goal and was in wrong place, but had coped well with Burton attackers beforehand.

Joe Widdowson (6) – He was a little bit sloppy on the ball at times, but can’t be attributed for any of the goals. Threw himself in way of McGurk’s opener, but couldn’t block it.

Luke Howell (7) – Lost out for the second goal, but did perform well overall and worked tirelessly once again.

Andre Boucaud (6) – A poor pass in opening phase of the match put Daggers under pressure and he was not at his best against the Brewers.

Billy Bingham (7) – It is hard to fault a Billy Bingham performance at the moment. He battled for everything and tried to get things going for the hosts.

Ashley Hemmings (6) – Quiet game for the wide-man as he struggled to get many opportunities to run at the Burton defence.

Alex Jakubiak (7) – A lot of moments of quality and scored excellent goal from difficult angle. He worked hard again and tried his best to support Cureton.

Jamie Cureton (7) – Isolated up front as game was a midfield battle, but so unlucky not to open scoring after 11 minutes with neat bit of play.

Substitutes:

Ashley Chambers, for Jakubiak 78.

Jodi Jones, for Hemmings 88.
