Ned Keating provides player ratings following the 2-1 loss at Carlisle United
Dagenham & Redbridge saw their recent unbeaten run come to an end after losing on their longest away day of the season at Carlisle.
Christian Doidge headed Daggers into an 11th-minute lead against the run of play before goals from Angelo Balanta and Jabo Ibehre gave the Cumbrians victory.
Both goals were easily defendable and the east Londoners surely had something to think about on their journey back to the capital.
Liam O’Brien (6.5) – Rarely tested and not helped out by lacklustre defence. Looking more comfortable by the game.
Josh Passley (7) – Good consistent run of form from right back who’s looking solid at back and happy to go forward.
Nyron Nosworthy (6) – Nearly robbed of ball by Carlisle player in dangerous position and looked to lack communication with Ayo Obileye.
Ayo Obileye (5.5) – Recklessly dived into couple of tackles and has to shoulder portion of blame for both goals.
Joe Widdowson (6) – May have suppled cross for Christian Doidge’s opener but needs to improve defensively or Jack Connors may be given chance.
Ashley Chambers (5.5) – Afternoon summed up by interesting free kick in first half when he went for goal but was well wide – good idea, poor execution.
Andre Boucaud (5) – Gave away ball which nearly led to Carlisle goal and didn’t offer much going forward.
Kane Ferdinand (6) – Work rate high again but cutting passes to forwards few and far between.
Ashley Hemmings (6.5) – Starved of ball but couldn’t find right final ball when presented wth chance.
Christian Doidge (7) – Menaced back four whenever handed the opportunity. Hopefully start of good scoring run.
Matt McClure (6) – Ineffectual display after recent goal scoring exploits.
Zavon Hines for Chambers 67 (6) – Ran into defenders rather than past them and wasted good chance with poor shot at death.
Jodi Jones for Hemmings 67 (6) – Hard to make an impact when starved of possession.
Jamie Cureton for McClure 73 (6) – Can’t remember him touching the ball.
