Ned Keating provides player ratings following the 3-1 defeat away to Barnet.
Dagenham & Redbridge turned in their worst performance of the season to date in a 3-1 loss at Barnet.
The Bees took the initiative through Michael Gash in the first minute and never looked back with Andy Yiadom adding a second 11 minutes before half time.
Gash sealed victory for the hosts with his second of the afternoon in the 56th minute before Jodi Jones scored a consolation for Daggers 10 minutes later.
The scoreline could have, and perhaps should have, been worse for the visitors were it not for an inspired performance between the sticks as Daggers’ worrying start to the season continues.
Liam O’Brien (7.5) - Brilliant saves second half prevented Daggers from suffering a pummeling. Showed fantastic bravery to rush out to meet John Akinde on several occassions. Gets better every game.
Josh Passley (5.5) - Beaten on more than one occassion by Luke Gambin’s desire to get ball more and failed to track Gash for opener
Nyron Nosworthy & Ayo Obileye (5) - Together because same criticism applies to both. Struggled to deal with Akinde’s power all afternoon and continually allowed ball to reach striker rather than try to beat him to it.
Joe Widdowson (6) - Not helped by Ashley Hemmings playing in more advanced role, allowing Andy Yiadom to bomb forward.
Kane Ferdinand (5) - Will focus solely on his performance on pitch, which was his worst in a Dagenham shirt. Usually covers every blade of grass but didn’t at The Hive.
Andre Boucaud (5.5) - Unsure what his role was and with Wayne Burnett having to remind him from touchlines numerous times, not sure he knew either. If he was meant to shield back four, didn’t exactly perform role well.
Niko Hamalainen (6) - Called for him to be given chance and happy he was. Most high energy of the three but can understand why replaced at half time being youngest member of midfield trio.
Jamie Cureton (6) - Feeding of scraps again, struggled to fire shots away throughout but not his fault.
Christian Doidge (6.5) - Always gives it his all, although disappointed with number of he won.
Ashley Hemmings (5) - At fault for second Barnet attack and didn’t offer much in attack either.
Jodi Jones for Hemmings 46 (7) - Electric performance off bench from youngster, shame match was already over by that point.
Zavon Hines for Hamalainen 46 (6) - Flashes from winger but didn’t get ball enough in dangerous positions.
