Former Wood right-back joins Daggers on a two-year deal

Dagenham & Redbridge have announced their first signing of the summer, with right-back Ben Nunn arriving from National League rivals Boreham Wood on a free transfer.

The 27-year-old moves to Victoria Road on a two-year deal, having previously spent five years with Wood.

In 38 appearances for Luke Garrard’s men last season, Nunn was able to nab one assist and will likely compete for the right-back slot at Daggers with Sam Ling.

Nunn started his career at Boston United, making his debut as a 17-year-old in 2007, before going on to play for Rushden & Diamonds, Cambridge City, Bishop’s Stortford and Chelmsford City.

The defender will link up with former team mates Scott Doe and Luke Howell at Daggers, with the duo having played for the Hertfordshire club in the 2015-16 season.

Nunn may not be the only new addition from Wood, with Garrard having confirmed in an interview that coach Junior Lewis had also joined Daggers.
