Daggers to host Bluebirds and visit Boreham Wood on August 8 for first away day

Dagenham & Redbridge will begin the new National League season with revenge on their mind when they host Barrow on August 5.

John Still’s men were beaten in both of their meetings with the Bluebirds last term, including a 4-1 defeat at Victoria Road in October.

Following the opening match, Daggers are on the road for their next two as they visit Boreham Wood on August 8 and are at Eastleigh on August 12.

The opening month also sees the Essex club host Ebbsfleet United on August 15, visit Fylde on August 19, entertain Bromley on August 26 and travel to Maidstone United on August 28.

Daggers host south London club Sutton United on September 12, while they visit Woking on October 7 on what is this season’s ‘Non-League Day’.

The Essex club must wait until November 11 for their opening clash with Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park, with the two sides expected to be near the top of the table.

On December 2, Daggers fans can look forward to seeing the likes of Paul Benson and Terry Harris back at Victoria Road when Boreham Wood visit.

The Christmas period brings about a busy spell of matches for the Victoria Road side, which begins on December 23 when they host Eastleigh.

Daggers then visit Leyton Orient on Boxing Day (December 26), before making the trip to Ebbsfleet on December 30 and beginning 2018 by hosting the O’s on January 1.

The Easter weekend this season sees Daggers make the long trip to Gateshead on March 30, before hosting Maidstone on April 2.

Daggers host Maidenhead United in their final home game of the season on April 21, before finishing the campaign at Macclesfield Town on April 28.
