Dagenham & Redbridge striker Tomi Adeloye says they need to be a tougher side if they want to start climbing up the National League table.

The 22-year-old netted a penalty in stoppage time to help the Daggers draw 2-2 against Boreham Wood in the FA Cup on the weekend.

Despite the fight back the former Hartlepool United man still believes the performance was not up to scratch.

“I don’t think the performance was good enough, I keep saying it but I feel like we’ve got so much more to give.

“We just need to be nastier, a bit gritty, and have a bit more bite about us.

“At the end of the day we did get the draw so that’s a massive positive especially after being 2-0 down.

“It was a great comeback from the lads but we do need to be miles better if we want to win games and push up the league.

“I feel right now we’re just easy to break down.”
