Pre-season friendly: Great Yarmouth Town 0 Dagenham & Redbridge 2
Daggers scored twice in the final five minutes to pick up a victory at Great Yarmouth in their latest pre-season fixture.
The game remained goalless until the final five minutes before substitutes Alex Osborn and Harrison Tweddell sealed the victory.
Boss Wayne Burnett was not in attendance at the match, instead taking an opportunity to look at a potential signing in action elsewhere.
But the Daggers took the opportunity to have a further look at trialists Bradley Goldberg, Alex Woodyard and Moses Ashikodi, while former Leyton Orient defender Brian Saah and Histon striker Lewis Taaffe also started.
There was a first start for striker Brian Woodall as he continues his recovery from a hernia operation over the summer.
It was a match of little activity in the opening half, though Woodall and Ashikodi both saw good efforts saved.
Jack Conners put in a good display from left back and it was the visitors who almost took the lead with 20 minutes remaining when Moses Ashikodi’s header was cleared off the line following substitute Alex Osborn’s centre.
But Osborn went on to give Daggers the victory when he took advantage of a fumble from the Great Yarmouth goalkeeper and tapped in from close range.
And they made sure of the win with a minute to go when Ian Gayle’s corner was headed home at the back post by Harrison Tweddell.
Daggers are next in action at Conference Premier side Dartford on Saturday.
Dagenham & Redbridge: Seabright, Gayle, Conners, Saah, Santos (Rumens 74), Woodyard, Goldberg, Taaffe (Ferguson), Woodall (Osborn 62), Ashikodi (Nouble 74), Shields (Tweddell 74)
