Dagenham & Redbridge vice-captain Matthew Robinson is not fussed about coming up against his former manager and team-mates this afternoon.

Daggers make the short trip to Barnet in the National League and the 24-year-old will face the club’s old boss John Still and a handful of last season’s Dagenham squad including the likes of Mark Cousins, Craig Robson, Andre Boucaud, Charlee Adams and Daniel Sparks.

But the skipper believes it’s just another match and one where they need to get their first win of the season after failing to win in their opening six fixtures.

“It’s just another game, I’ll be honest I’m not really bothered about who’s playing for them or who their manager is, three points is what matters and I think that’s what everyone has got to have in their heads.”

The former Luton Town midfielder says his side must not think about their recent defeats and go into this clash with clear minds in order to come away with the points at the Hive.

“I think you’ve just got to let it go, instead of holding onto it, obviously you’ve got to take what went wrong and try to correct it and treat every game as it’s just a game.

“That is our focus point for the next 90 minutes and try to get the next result and the next result after that.

“Its not a stage where we’re thinking about the future, we’ve got to think about the next game and the next possibility of three points and of course that is Monday.

“We’ve got to go into Barnet with clear heads and try to get a result.”
