West Ham United return to action in the Premier League on Sunday when they make the trip to Everton.

The Hammers will hope the recent international break has given them a chance to gel as a unit in training – even if boss Manuel Pellegrini spent most of it in his native Chile!

Leyton Orient, meanwhile, put their unbeaten start to the Vanarama National League on the line again this weekend when they welcome in-form Barnet, who are managed by former O’s defender John Still.

That unbeaten record remained just about intact last weekend after a stoppage-time equaliser from James Alabi snatched a draw for Justin Edinburgh’s men at Halifax Town.

Divisional rivals Dagenham & Redbridge also seem to have found form as they chase a third (yes, third) straight win at home to Chesterfield on Saturday.

Like O’s, Daggers were also grateful for a late goal as Elliott Romain’s strike in the final minute of the match secured a victory away to Barrow last weekend.

All this, plus the latest from the Bostik Premier and below, is discussed on this week’s East London Football podcast.
