Left back latest to extend his stay in east London

Joe Widdowson has become the latest Dagenham & Redbridge player to sign a new contract with the club after extending his stay for a further two years.

The left back initially arrived at Victoria Road on loan from Bury in November before signing a deal until the end of the campaign in January.

In the second half of the season, Widdowson made the left back position his own, making 21 appearances following his permanent move to east London.

The 26-year-old is a product of the West Ham United youth academy and has played Rotherham United, Grimsby Town, Rochdale, Bury and Northampton Town.
