Tournaments designed to improve match fitness ahead of the regular season.

Football teams from across Dagenham are being invited to play in specially created “Pre-Season Fives” tournaments at Goals Dagenham to help them boost match fitness ahead of the start of the new football season on the same type of synthetic surfaces used in training by some of Europe’s leading clubs.

The tournament will take place at the purpose built Goals Soccer Centre off Ripple Road on Sunday from 5pm on pitches using the latest 5G Astroturf technology.

Goals Dagenham Centre Manager Allan Buck said: “The Pre-Season Fives is an ideal opportunity for teams to get fit ahead of the new season, get back in shape and boost their match sharpness before the big kick off in August. The surfaces we use is widely recognised across the UK and Europe as the top training surface of its type, so players really are preparing for the season ahead in the same way as their heroes.”

He added: “It’s an open tournament suitable for everyone from 11 a side teams to 5-a-side teams and players that just want to enjoy a competitive game with their work colleagues or friends. Each side will be guaranteed at least one hour of football and we look forward to seeing as many teams taking part as possible.”

Entry costs £30 per team and the winners will receive a brand new football kit. To enter a team contact Goals Dagenham on 0208 595 7000 or visit www.goalsfootball.co.uk
