Euro Dagenham’s first team just managed to see off Coryton Athletic
In the game of the weekend, Euro Dagenham’s first team led the way to a splendid couple of days for the club with a 4-3 victory over Coryton Athletic at Barking Park.
In a match played in a good spirit there were goals galore with Euro edging the tie against a battling Coryton side thanks to goals from Holliday, Robson, Booker and Mujib, at the same time the men’s reserve side were easing past Custom House with a 2-1 victory.
Sunday saw Euro’s junior teams hit the road with some success, there were big wins for the under-18s and under-13s who both hit double figures, scoring 27 goals between them without reply.
Further victories followed for the under-10s and under-11s including another four-goal haul from Sebastian Towse in the latter’s match to equal the four he chalked up last week.
There were a few minor clouds on an otherwise faultless weekend for Euro with both under-nines teams letting early leads go in the final few minutes of their games to slip to a defeat and a draw against Cougars and Focus Ferrers respectively.
And in a match that went ahead despite the atrocious conditions, the under-14s suffered a heavy loss at home to Prostar Green.
