Blues to host Abbots on opening day of season

Barking will start the Isthmian North season at home to Waltham Abbey after the fixtures for the new term were revealed on Thursday morning.

The Blues will play in eighth tier of English football this term after winning the Essex Senior League last year.

Other important early dates will set Barking on the August Bank Holiday, while they are due to be involved in the early rounds of the FA Trophy on Non-League Day on October 7.

Barking will be at home on Boxing Day this season when they entertain Witham at Mayesbrook Park.

The Blues will start 2018 on the road, however, when they make trip to Chadfields to face Tilbury.

The final day of the season will see Barking host Potters Bar Town, when the Blues will be hoping to end the term on a high.

The full fixture list for the division is yet to be released, but is set to be revealed at some point today.
