IN-FORM Tigers und-er-14s kept up their bid for promotion with a battling victory in what was an enthralling contest.

Falling behind to an early goal, Tigers pulled it level before the break when a fine turn and delightful through ball from Sid Taylor sent Cameron Maxwell free to set up strike partner and captain Bradley Chapman.

Maxwell again did the damage after the break when man of the match Ryan Hall unleashed him to destroy the UPR defence for pace and coolly drill his shot beyond the keeper.

A fine breakaway goal from UPR saw their own man of the match Jack Potter curl the ball beyond the impressive Brightman but Tigers continued to dominate with Taylor hitting the post with a lob from distance as well as driving over from the edge of the box while Andrew Cruickshank and Jordan Levett also went close.

Just as it appeared the game would fizzle out, it was danger man Maxwell who again repeated the trick by breaking clear of his marker on the left and sliding the ball home.

Tigers: Brightman, Rowan, Brogan, Murray, Wise, Cruikshank, Cooley, Fluck, Chapman, Moore, Maxwell, Taylor, Hall, Levett, Crane.

Euro Dagenham 0

EURO Dagenham under-14s slumped to a disapp-ointing defeat against Barn Sports.

Barn's goals were expertly taken and it was no disgrace for Euro, for whom Shimmey was man of the match, to succumb to such clinical opponents.

Dagenham United 2

Byron Red Star 0

Man of the match Connor Horan got the ball rolling with a fierce strike and Lee Reaney added a second goal to give Dagenham breathing space.

Dagenham United 1 UPR 3

BRILLIANT Dagenham United under-11s competed bravely with a strong UPR throughout before tumbling out of the cup.

Man of the match Alfie Hawes netted Dagenham's goal and was a joy to watch with his non-stop running but on the day, everyone in a Dagenham shirt deserved praise for their display.

Dagenham United: Hawes, Retter, North, Meleady, Murphy, Fleming, Hall-Prince, McGlynn, Adeshina, Olawanle, Hazell, Fairburn, Johnson.
