Henry Green girls’ football team enjoy a successful season as they go unbeaten to land the treble.

The Dagenham-based school won the BDSFA Girl’s League, the Monteagle Shield and

George Carey Cup.

The youngsters won all 15 of their competitive games and had one of the best defensive records, only conceding four goals all season.

Teacher Luke Harrold said: “We’re very proud of this achievement and all the time and hard-work the girls have put into becoming football players.

“At the start of the year the girls were very in-experienced with only two out of the 10 girls in the squad having played football before.

“Not only have their football skills developed they have become more resilient and more confident in themselves as individuals.

“They have now left a legacy behind them at Henry Green as ambassadors and role models of girl’s football for the rest of the children in the school.”
