RYAN MAHONEY scored twice as Carling Park put in a battling display to beat Lord Stanley in a friendly encounter at the weekend.

After their opponents took a two-goal lead, strikes from Jay Jacobs and Stuart Knight levelled things up.

Ryan Mahoney struck twice to win the game, while Scott Gillick was man of the match.

The harsh realities of London City Airport League football became evident for Saxons, as they were brushed aside by Korona in Sunday's Division Two game.

This was Saxons' second league outing of the new season and while skipper Craig Smith opened the scoring, there was little else for the Dagenham side to smile about.

Alan Bone was named man of the match.

A LATE super strike after 85 minutes by Shane Hutchins opened Bardag's Division Two points account for the season.

After captain Scott Davies had missed an early penalty, he made up for it in the second half with a spectaular clearance off his own line.

Some great saves by Bardag keeper Jamal Hamdaoui and superb defending by man of the match Ben Southgate kept Eagles at bay before Hutchins grabbed a last-gasp winner.
