THE boys of Roneo Colts under-eights won their end-of-season tournament, when they toured Great Yarmouth over the recent Bank Holiday weekend.

The first day of the competition saw Colts win all of their matches with the opener a 5- 0 walkover.

On the second day they lost one game 1-0, though this was the only goal they conceded throughout the tournament.

This loss spurred them on and by the end of their matches they had won their division by three clear points.

The presentation awards were carried out by England goalkeeping coach Ray Clemence.

Roneo Colts: Brown, Hobbs, Hutcherson, McDonald, Murray-Sharpe, Tear, Sweeney, Whan.

HONOURS were deservedly even after a hard-fought friendly clash between UPR and Roneo Colts under-nines.

Roneo took the lead during a purple patch early in the first half when a sweeping move started by goalkeeper Joel Rowe's accurate kick and carried on by Ersin Kaya, Jake Mason and then Kaya ended with an emphatic finish from Alex Brown.

Mason then hit a post as Roneo threatened to extend their lead by half-time but UPR levelled soon after the break through Thomas Noonan.

The game could then have gone either way and superb goalkeeping by Rowe made sure that UPR did not break through again.

Roneo Colts: Brown, Burbidge, Jack, Kaya, Mason, Rector, Rowe, Wakely.
