VALENCE UNITED under-11s played some superb football to finish as winners of Dagenham United's Tournament.

After playing nine games, Valence (pictured right) finished with six wins and three draws conceding just two goals.

Remi Awosanya starred as he hit eight goals and both keepers were in great form, but it was the teams superb spirit that pushed them on to victory.

AN INJURY to goalkeeper Joel Rowe hit Roneo under-nines' hopes of progressing in the Dagenham United Tournament.

Rowe was on top form in the first group game but aggravated a thumb injury in trying to stop the winner for Buckhurst Hill, who triumphed 2-1 after Ersin Kaya had cancelled out their opener.

Roneo skipper Louis Rector went between the sticks and performed valiantly in a 2-1 win over UPR D, with the outstanding Aaron Aidoo and Alex Brown netting the Roneo goals, though Rector was left helpless as a 2-0 defeat by Grays Athletic put Roneo out.

Roneo Colts: Aidoo, Brown, Burbidge, Horlick, Kaya, Mason, Rector, Rowe, Wigg.

EURO DAGENHAM A under-10s swept to victory at the Valley Green five-a-side tournament.

Euro A: Everitt, Gelston, Imbert-Thomas, C McNicholas, Tahiri, Wheatley.

Euro B: Conroy, Dobson, Everitt, D McNicholas, Morris.
