DAGENHAM BC's Ben Hall maintained his winning ways on the Golden Gloves title trail by taking the London title at York Hall, Bethnal Green on Sunday.

Warren schoolboy Hall earlier upset national champion Gerry Walsh to reach the class three under-54kg London final and on Sunday, followed up with another good points win over the strong Terry Arscott (Honor Oak).

Once again, Hall, 14, gave an impressive display against an awkward rival to take a unanimous points decision.

Also winning a London title at York Hall, was ex-Dagenham boxer Harry Rogers, now with West Ham BC, who won on points with a good display of boxing to subdue aggressive opponent Tommy Vincent of Eltham.

l CHARLIE LAW was in winning form for Dagenham when he travelled to Great Yarmouth to outpoint local rival Ken Penfold (Kingfisher) on Saturday night.

Another Dagenham boxer in action on the show, Charlie Naylor, was outpointed by Curtis Williams (Kingfisher) in a close contest.
