BARKING Karate-Do Federation student Lee Rose, 2nd Dan, won the English Championships in the 18 to 20-year-old male kumite over-78kg category.

The event was held at Pondes Forge Leisure Centre in Sheffield over two days and Rose (pictured above left), has been training at the Barking Dojo in Blake Avenue under Sensei, Tony Gray, 5th Dan, for 14 years since he was six years old.

Rose has won several English and British medals over the last five years but this was his first English title.
