Friday night's Matchroom bill provides a comeback test for Lynes welterweight stablemate Michael Lomax, who last time out suffered his first defeat in 12 appearances.

However, his conqueror at Robin Park Centre, Wigan in July last year, Oldham boxer Craig Watson, has since gone on to claim the Commonwealth crown.

Lomax a six-foot-tall southpaw, takes on Scottish rival Craig Dickson on the undercard at Goresbrook and knows he needs to come back with a good win.

It's a real test for Lomax against an opponent who has lost just three of his 18 pro contests and finished 2007 in winning form.

The show will be broadcast live on Sky Sports and the rest of the card includes Swansea's undefeated super-bantamweight Ricky Owen and reigning WBF Heavyweight champion Albert Sosnowski of Poland.

Former European light-welterweight title holder Ted Bami, who had to relinquish the belt which Colin Lynes went on to win, is set for a return to action after a lengthy absence due to injury.

Also on the undercard are the talented prospects Ben Jones (Crawley) and Martin Gethin (Walsall).
