Toshi Kazoku Judokwai youngsters with their latest medals


Toshi Kazoku Judokwai youngsters were among the medals on a busy weekend of action.

The Barking Abbey-based club travelled to the Bishop’s Stortford red belt rumble on Saturday with three young judoka and saw Daniil Mykytyn return with a gold medal.

Eladas Gladikas collected a silver, while Karolina Mishyn came home with a bronze medal.

A squad of eight TKJ members then travelled to Worthing for the South Coast kyu grade event on Sunday, where Ruby Delaney and Veaceslav Voinovan were both gold medal winners.

Rene Fulgence, Yaroslav Mykytyn and Veaceslav Rusu added silver medals, while there were bronze medals for James Downs, Adara Kabara and Oleksandr Mishyn to complete a superb weekend for the club.

Delighted coach Turan Kiani said: “It’s great to thsee the competition squad and this great judo club getting stronger and stronger.”
