MONTEAGLE A emerged as winners of the Junior School Mixed Sex Borough Netball Tournament after beating Manor 4-3 in a nail-bitting final.

The winning goal came in the last five seconds but Monteagle had to beat Monteagle B in the semi-finals to secure a place in the final as Manor beat Grafton to secure their place in the decider.

The Grafton versus Manor clash was very close and at 3-3 at full-time, the game was decided by the golden goal, with Grafton securing the win.

Other teams who took part were Becontree (8th), Five Elms (7tt), St Vincents (6th), Warren (5th) Monteagle B (4rd) and Grafton (3rd).

"I would like to say well done to all the pupils who participated in the competition. There was a high standard of netball displayed on the day and a fantastic atmosphere it makes all the hard work and organisation worth while," said Jade Godfrey, who helped organise the event.
