Dagenham Chase lake seeing an excellent increase of carp

Stillwater report: The Front Lake at the Dagenham Chase has seen an excellent increase of carp in recent days.

Chris Tiller had four fish to 31lbs 8ozs. Tony Cross had four fish to 26lb 8ozs, tench to 10lbs 8ozs and crucians to 2lbs 8ozs.

The Back Lake is also seeing fine catches. Lance Northover had 15 fish up to 19lbs 4ozs.

Anglers silver-fishing have had roach to 2lbs 8ozs, crucians close to 3lbs, and tench to 7lbs 8ozs. Jimmy Jackson had crucians to 2lbs 8ozs, also tench to 6lbs. Both lakes have produced very good catches of most summer species.

At Tylers Common Wagtail Lake, Paul Davies have 25 quality carp to 14lbs 8ozs, plus twotench of 4lbs each. Jim Tuff had carp to 14lbs on coconut boilies.

The Horseshoe Lake is producing quantities of silvers and carp from the track and margins. Ash and Willow Lakes are giving good sport at the margins. The long pole and method feeder are also giving good weights. Pellets, paste, corn and luncheon meat are all catching fish.

Match results: Debden AC fished Pea Lane with some fine results. Top weight on peg six was Frank Hasket with 205lbs, second on peg one was Terry Churchill with 168lbs 10ozs and third on peg 13 was Russell Hogg with 100lbs 1oz.

The Saturday open at Tylers on the Horseshoe Lake saw top weight go to Nick Darke (GOT baits) on peg 18 with 121lbs 10ozs of carp.

Finishing second on peg 52 was John Hunt (Brentwood Angling) 104lbs, third on peg 36 was Martin Armfield with 98lbs 8ozs, fourth on peg 13 was D Hough with 94lbs 10ozs, fifth on peg 48 was T Eustace with 88lbs, sixth on peg 42 was Jason Collins with 84lbs 2ozs, while joint seventh on peg 15 was Steve Coppen and on peg 22 Steve James with 83lbs 9ozs.
