Gale Street outfit lost 24-20 at Ilford Wanderers last Saturday

Barking will want to return to winning ways in London Three Essex on Saturday when they entertain Campion.

The Gale Street club suffered a narrow 24-20 loss on their trip to Ilford Wanderers in their latest league encounter last weekend.

The defeat will have been particularly hard on Barking, having held a three-point lead late in the game before going on to suffer the agony of a loss.

That result means Andrew Moreland’s men will start the weekend eighth in the table, having taken 11 points from their opening six matches.

Campion, meanwhile, will start the weekend’s game having won their last three in the league, a run of form which has seen them rise to fourth in the table.

With Saturday’s game another local derby, though, it could be said that form may well go out of the window.

And if it does, Barking will hope to capitalise by getting the win over Campion as they bid to start pulling away from the relegation zone and climb the table.
