Preview: Clifton v Barking, Saturday May 4.

Barking director of rugby Nick Warren wants his side to leave National Two South with a bang as they travel to Clifton this weekend.

The Goresbrook outfit have lost 26 of their 27 games and have already begun preparing for life in National Three next season.

But Warren believes his side have nothing to fear against the Bristol outfit and has aspirations of denying them the points they need to secure their own safety.

“The boys are really keen to go there and give a good account of themselves on the final day,” said Warren.

“There is nothing to lose for us and they need a point to secure their safety so I am sure they’ll come out keen to get the try-scoring bonus point.

“Most of the players have made themselves available for the final game which is great and shows they all want to be here next season.

“We have nothing to lose and the players can really go out and enjoy the occasion.”

Winger Scott Shaw will return to the squad for the season finale, though Nathan Barham and Max Dawe are both ruled out through injury.
