BARKING under-15s secured their third trophy of the season with victory at the Colchester Festival. The youngsters were in excellent form from the word go as they defeated Norwich 28-0 with tries from McLeod, Denardis, Mutoka and Townsend all converted by

The youngsters were in excellent form from the word go as they defeated Norwich 28-0 with tries from McLeod, Denardis, Mutoka and Townsend all converted by Townsend.

Southend were also beaten 21-0, with two tries from McLeod and one from Mutoka, Townsend converting them all.

Barking then saw off Ipswich 26-0 as O'Toole (2), Akinboboye and Clarke went over, with Townsend converting three chances.

The victories kept coming as Old Elthamians lost 27-0 thanks to scores from Bowanga, McLeod, Muambai and Akinboboye with Andrews kicking one conversion.

It was closer against Westcliff, but Barking still won as tries from Akinboboye and Mutoka, with one conversion from Townsend made the score 14-0.

They finally captured the silverware against Sevenoaks as Mutoka touched down and Townsend added the extras in a 7-7 draw.

Medway 22 Barking 10

BARKING under-14s suffered defeat in their final game of the season as they were beaten by Medway.

There were plenty of positives to be taken as the youngsters fielded three new players.

They trailed 7-0 at the break, but produced some good rugby in the second half as Paul Burnell went over.

Some poor tackling allowed Medway to make it 22-5, but this seemed to inspire the the visitors.

Lewis Brunger went over, and Sean Kennedy almost made the score even closer, but his great run was eventually stopped.

Basildon 14 Barking 40

THE performance of the season by Barking under-13s saw them defeat Basildon.

Elliott Grover created the majority of tries, and also scored himself, while John Espino showed great pace to go over three times.

Mason Faires scrambled over, while man of the match Ronnie Zahra scored a wonderful try, while Robert Kilminster added five conversions.

n BARKING colts showed great strength in depth to win the Heineken 10's at Westcliff on Saturday.

The colts, who included under-17 Micheal Ashmore, won all their pool games, before defeating the hosts 17-0 in the final.
