ANOTHER hat-trick from Harry Smith saw Barking suffer defeat to Thames.

Two defensive errors saw Thames take a lead they never relinquished.

A HAT-TRICK of tries from Tyler Woodhouse saw Barking under-eights to victory over Thames.

Ifeaty Obiora put the youngsters ahead early on, before Sam Tribe set up Rizzo Smith to score.

Barking then went on a try blitz, as Woodhouse opened his account, Marcus Lloyd went over, before Obiora managed another score.

The home side led 5-2 at the break, and although Thames hit back with two tries, they quickly got back into their stride.

Woodhouse completed his treble, Smith crossed the line once more, before captain Liam Hill finished off the scoring.

Ilford Wanderers 5

BARKING under-eights secured a narrow win over Ilford Wanderers.

The home side allowed Grace Smith to play for Wanderers, but that move backfired as she went over twice, once side-stepping her brother Rizzo to score.

Barking had just enough to see off their opponents though as Ciaran Stringer and Marcus Lloyd notched two tries, while Ifeaty Obiora, Liam Hill and Tyler Woodhouse all went over.

Ilford Wanderers 4

A SECOND-HALF fightback saw Barking under-eights earn a draw against Ilford Wanderers.

Barking allowed Harry Smith and Marcus Lloyd to play for their opponents and although Liam Hill put his side ahead, they trailed 3-1 at half time.

After the break, the youngsters improved, with some great tagging from Gerry Chitty and Joe Deasy.

Ifeaty Obiora scored a brace of tries and Tyler Woodhouse went over.
