BARKING under-10s had the privilege of playing host to Rugby Lions in a curtain raiser to the first XV National Three South fixture at the weekend.

The match was divided into three, 10 minute sessions and the visitors started strongly to lead 1-0.

Their lead didn't last for long though, as a well-worked move was finished off by Dan Wren. Lions tried to hit back, but Barking's tackling, especially Demi Ajeigbe was immense, although they broke through once to lead 2-1.

After the interval, it was all Barking though as Connor Reed, Regan Mason and James Garwood were immense, Mitch Surety worked well at scrum half and Archie Duke was very effective.

A period of intense pressure saw Wren score his second try to level the scores.
