Six Barking Abbey players have been named to the final 12 Great Britain Under-20 Men heading to the Division B European Championships in Romania.

Current student-athletes Amin Adamu, Obi Agu, Jubrile Belo and RJ Eytle-Rock, along with alumni Josh Steel and Akwasi Yeboah have all made the final selection.

Adamu, Agu and Eytle-Rock were a part of the title winning Kent Crusaders Division Two men’s side this season, whilst Belo represented Barking Abbey in Division Four.

All players were instrumental in the school’s undefeated season in the EABL Under-19 competition.

Additionally, BA’s Lloyd Gardner is an assistant coach with the Under-20 side.

GB Head Coach Andreas Kapoulas’ squad finished with a 2-3 record in preparation, picking up wins against Belarus and Hungary.

The side’s opener is against Netherlands on Friday.
