Stillwater report: It was a happy day for Paul Squibb on peg 8 on Ash Lake at Tylers Common when he had 150lbs of fish using corn down the edge, feeding micro pellet.

On Willow Lake Ian Clark fishing peg 25 had 75 fish, the biggest 12lbs, on maggot and bread. Mark Wakeham also had 75 carp to 16lbs on a zig rig, also fishing corn, writes KEITH LEVERETT.

On Wagtail Gary Weaver had roach to 2lbs and carp to 11lbs, plus a barbel on a zig rig. Vas Manoli had nine carp to 16lbs and Tom Scullion snr had a 13lb and 15lb carp. His son had bream to 7lbs also carp to 7lbs.

It seems that the the match lake at the A12 Cuton Lakes has started to produce with a match being won with a mid 40lbs catches and good of back up weights.

Match results: The Saturday Open on Horseshoe Lake at Tylers Common was won by S James on peg 59 he weighed in 66lbs 12ozs using pellet, 2nd T Eustace with 61lbs 4ozs, 3rd T Smith weighed in 49lbs 4ozs, 4th B.Riley with 48lbs 8ozs, 5th Mickey Hood with 47lbs 8ozs, 6th Jim Collins with 42lbs 8ozs.

Brunswick Brothers AS had their second match of their new season this week with an exceptional early catch when they fished Monk Lake and top weight went to Gary Knight with 106lbs 2ozs, 2nd Richard Yearley with 60lbs 12ozs, 3rd Bill Lillywhite with 54lbs 8ozs, 4th Paul Cannon with 47lbs 4ozs.

Fifth placed Terry Taylor weighed in with 39lbs 3ozs, 6th D.House with 37lbs 8ozs, 7th George Cole with 33lbs 6ozs, 8th D.Farman with 31lbs 5ozs, 9th Nick Warren with 27lbs, 10th Dave Franklyn with 22lbs.

The impressive total weight was 634lbs 2ozs and the winning weight was caught on the pole with pellet bait.

British Bakeries fished Lakelands this week with top weight to Jason Ailey 26lbs, 2nd weight to Les Atfield with 18lbs 2ozs, 3rd Dave Camden with 16lbs 6ozs, 4th Paul Fairbrass with 13lbs, 5th Bob Brewer with 9lbs 14ozs.

The Tuesday Open on the Willow Lake at Tylers Common was won this week by Graham Dack (Middy) with 147lbs on peg 20 using pellet at 14 metres, 2nd Mickey Hood (Middy) on peg 4 with 141lbs fishing pellet at 14 metres, 3rd Alec Roberts (Middy) on peg 9 weighed in 103lbs.

In fourth place was Dennis Lipscombe (Oakwood Angling) on peg 23 weighing in with 94lbs, 5th M.Amos (Bedwell Fisheries) on peg 10 90lbs, 6th John Hunt (Tubertini) on peg 11 88lbs. The match this week is on Ash Lake.

Elm Park and Hornchurch DAS had their last club match of the 2008/09 season on one of their Brentwood lakes and top weight went to Colin Luff with 17lbs 8ozs, 2nd Peter Jones with 15lbs 2ozs, 3rd Steve Ewin with 13lbs 9ozs, 4th Peter Darling with 12lbs 13ozs 8dms.

Fifth place on the day went to Martin Cass with 12lbs 8ozs, 6th Peter Lester with 11lbs 2ozs 8dms, 7th Ron Adams with 8lbs 2ozs 8dms, 8th Keith Austin with 7lbs 4ozs 8dms.

There were plenty of perch caught around with fish of 1lbs 10ozs, 1lbs 12ozs, 1lbs 14ozs, 2lbs 1ozs, 2lbs 5ozs 8dms and 2lbs 11ozs 8dms.
