Terry Holder broke the record on the Wagtail Lake with a fine carp tipping the scales at 31lbs 8ozs using halibut pellet, from peg three.

While, on peg 14, Martin Taylor had a quality bag of rudd and roach, with some of the fish close to 3lbs, plus seven tench to 3lbs on wheat hemp and tares.

Paul Brown had four doubles to 18lbs on chum mixer, while on peg seven, Brian Edwards caught 15 carp on a rubber sweetcorn.

Charlie Dow, on peg 16, had nine carp to 16lbs on halibut boilies.

The Willow and Ash Lakes are still fishing well, with double figure catches being caught with some regularity.

Pleasure anglers on Horseshoe Lake are still having a field day with the margins, down the track and between the islands producing all species, with corn, luncheon meat, pellet and paste all catching.

Most baits are now available at Tylers, including boilies.

River round-up: The Medway at Maidstone is fishing well through the town, with good catches of skimmers and roach with Wallingford Town Road Bridge fishing well on both sides.

Casters and seed baits are catching some good roach with the odd chub also showing. Baitsbite Lock is also producing some quality roach either side of the lock, hemp and tares also caster are catching well here.

Match results: The Saturday open on Horseshoe Lake fished well. Top weight went to Dave Ealding (Canvey Angling) on peg 59 with 87lbs using meat.

While second on peg nine was Steve James (Ockendon bait and tackle) with 81lbs 4ozs and third on peg 57 was T Eustace (Tylers) with 78lbs 8ozs.

Joint fourth on peg 25 was L Crowhurst (Canvey Angling) and on peg three, Jason Collins (Browning Wickford) with 61lbs 8ozs. Sixth on peg 29 was Len Golding (Tylers) with a catch of 61lbs 4ozs.

The Hatfield Thursday Club had a good day. Top weight went to Peter Jones with 173lbs, while second was Dave George Snr with 116lbs.

Third was Jim Ross with 101lbs, fourth was R Wickham with 95lbs, fifth was Richard Davidson with 76lbs, sixth was Ernie Field with 70lbs and seventh was Keith Leverett with 60lbs.

The Saturday Opens on Horseshoe Lake will be run by Bobby Wager on 07970 258737.

There are a series of Sunday matches on the A12 Cuton Lakes. They are 30 peggers. The draw is at 9.30am, fishing starts at 10.30am till 3.30pm, with tickets costing £17.
