Dagenham Boxing Club hold the second of their summer camps for 11 to 17-year-olds today and tomorrow.

The first camp took place last week, with 27 youngsters receiving medals, certificates and t-shirts after successfully completing the two-day programme.

Dan O’Sullivan said: “This little lot really did shine. It was a great effort from each and every child and by far the best behaved ever!

“Plenty more talent has been identified, with eight more places offered at the gym and we look forward to seeing these in September.”

Eden Rose Follen took the best female prospect award, while Harley St Louis Smith walked off with the best footwork prize.

Andre Graves took an award for best stance/guard, with AJ Bhaker awarded best jab and Harvey Matthews-Fenton taking best combos.

Taylor-Ray Gilbert claimed the best behaviour award and Charlie Gingell took the camp’s effort and endeavour prize.
