Dagenham grime MC Devlin said his Glastonbury festival debut showed him how far music career progressed in the past year and a half.
Devlin, 21, took to the East Dance stage at the Somerset festival on June 25 to perform his hits such as, Runaway and Let It Go.
The MC, whose real name is James Devlin, told the Post: “It was brilliant. The crowd was mental. There was a lot of waiting around but it was worth it. I really enjoyed to performing to such a huge crowd, it’s unbelievable how far I’ve come in the past year and a half.”
The British festival season has well and truly begun for the rapper.
He added: “The only downside to the whole experience was the mud. I had to have my jeans tucked into my wellies it was so deep.”
But he’ll have to get used to it as he is performing at lots of festivals over the summer including Reading & Leeds and Wireless.
Talking about his plans for the near future, he mentioned that he is currently in the studio all the time recording his next album which is due for release next year.
