TWELVE months and a new band member after making their first appearance in Your Music, Dirty Trixx are wowing crowds at venues throughout London and Essex.
The four-piece band, all Dagenham sixth-formers, will be making their next appearance at The Bitter End in Romford on Saturday, March 14.
New drummer Ross Palmer, from Jo Richardson School, has joined Robert Clack students Thomas McQueen (lead guitar and vocals), Gavin Keegan (bass) and Anthony Pitts (guitar and vocals).
So far, they have appeared at The Cauliflower in Ilford, Islington's Hope and Anchor and Dry Bar in Barbican.
They are influenced by rock heavyweights Motley Crue and Guns n Roses.
They also took part in the Offset Festival Battle of the Bands competition, which led them to be described by Noisy magazine as 'One of the best new bands heard for some time. Absolutely brilliant'.
Most songs are written by Thomas, although they do have a number of covers given their own individual twist.
The band are all set to start laying down their new EP, which will be recorded at The White Rooms in Rainham.
