From the creative team behind Kylie Minogue’s live shows, hit show Viva La Drag! is coming east to the Broadway Theatre on Saturday, March 15.
Fresh from its critically acclaimed run in the West End, the production will be performed for one night only in Barking.
It features original music composed by Boy George and a talented cast including Sam Buttery, a finalist on BBC’s television programme The Voice.
Producer Michael Taylor described the show as the “ultimate girls’ night out” with a combination of musical numbers and cross-dressing comedy.
Chart-toppers both old and new will be sure to get the audience tapping their feet and singing along to what Michael called an “outrageous party to die for”.
Viva La Drag! reinvents classics like Beyoncé’s Single Ladies, Adele’s Rolling in the Deep and Dolly Parton’s Jolene in a rags-to-riches story following a group of drag queens and their rocky road to fame.
Michael said: “Sweet harmonies, costumes to die for, a score packed with more hits than you can bat a pair of oversize lashes at, thrilling cutting-edge variety and ripped male eye-candy make Viva la Drag! the party night out of the year.”
Theatre-goers are advised that the show is recommended for over-16s. The performance starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £19 to £17. Call 020 8507 5607 to book.
